Gustavo Scarpa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Válbson Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Arne Offendahl hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Senna in the 28th minute of play forced Joinville United - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Borys Gruchacz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, SRP-Laguna's Válbson Cunha got control of the ball when Gustavo Scarpa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Válbson Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mané Lara in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Xu Le Shu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mané Lara in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Válbson Cunha saved SRP-Laguna from getting behind. Xu Le Shu struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Borys Gruchacz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SRP-Laguna.
