In the 5th minute of the game Edgard de Lima made a throw-in which Oliver Bierhoff played forward. Wágner Leme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A sloppy throw-in by Fernando Vale in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ADM Taquaras's Malcolm Westerberg. Gustavo Scarpa kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After 17 minutes, Oliver Bierhoff made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Borys Gruchacz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 22 minutes into the match, Oliver Bierhoff had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Borys Gruchacz. Joinville United - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oliver Bierhoff was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 26 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's Oliver Bierhoff sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Borys Gruchacz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustavo Scarpa in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeremias Moreno saved ADM Taquaras from getting behind. 31 minutes into the match, Gustavo Scarpa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jeremias Moreno, 2-2. Borys Gruchacz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Bierhoff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

ADM Taquaras made a substitution. Áron Bódog replaced Wágner Leme. Borys Gruchacz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Bierhoff in the 54th minute of play. The throw-in from Fernando Vale in the 61st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ADM Taquaras's Tales De Mileto. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Áron Bódog took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Borys Gruchacz to make any attempt to save it. Joinville United - FSCMZ made a substitution. Tostão Montenegro replaced Didi Cardozo. When Joinville United - FSCMZ's Tostão Montenegro in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ADM Taquaras's goalie prevented a goal. ADM Taquaras's Enio Aparecido was substituted for Oliver Bierhoff. A throw-in in the 76th minute of the game was made by Fernando Vale with Tostão Montenegro as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Enio Aparecido's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Borys Gruchacz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Enio Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Borys Gruchacz having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Guilherme Joinvilense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mané Lara came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Joinville United - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mané Lara couldn't finish the play. 96 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's goal looked a bit too open when Tostão Montenegro came free, but Jeremias Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 97 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when ADM Taquaras's Enio Aparecido fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. The ADM Taquaras players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
