The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Pastor Nesto sped through Zapala's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nicasio Michael. After a rather tough play, La Novena Borracha's Leif Påk got a free kick in the 12th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Tiburcio Rojelio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Novena Borracha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zapala the free kick. Tiburcio Rojelio hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Jeronimo Darien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Candido Tartalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Nicasio Michael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Koldobika in the 52nd minute of the match. Guillermo Jurdan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeronimo Darien in the 55th minute. Leif Påk kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Guillermo Jurdan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Tartalo in the 57th minute of play. Nicasio Michael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Nesto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zapala's goalkeeper Nicasio Michael, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. La Novena Borracha walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
