Leopoldo Rosio might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Everardo Selmo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leopoldo Rosio ran back to his position shaking his head. Baltasar Vidal's late challenge caught a Sporting Menem DEAD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baltasar Vidal helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Club Almagro getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Baltasar Vidal hit a great ball. Raimundo Ferman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Francis in the 13th minute of play. Augusto Bitxintxo came free with the goalkeeper in the 15th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Raimundo Ferman could save by the left post. In the 16th minute of the match, Everardo Marcones tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Raimundo Ferman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leopoldo Rosio in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Everardo Selmo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raimundo Ferman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Bitxintxo in the 23rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Menem DEAD's zone, Leopoldo Rosio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Everardo Selmo came out of the goal and Leopoldo Rosio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enrique Eladio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute Leopoldo Rosio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Selmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute Club Almagro were awarded a corner. Manuel Claris went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Manuel Claris got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Everardo Selmo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 36 minutes into the game, Everardo Marcones was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Menem DEAD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Almagro the free kick. In the 36th minute, Everardo Marcones hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Everardo Selmo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leopoldo Rosio's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Enrique Eladio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raimundo Ferman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Francis in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Leopoldo Rosio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Everardo Selmo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After the first half Club Almagro were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Paolo Francis made the kick off in the second half. Raimundo Ferman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Bitxintxo in the 54th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Manuel Claris got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Everardo Selmo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 59th minute, Leopoldo Rosio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Almagro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leopoldo Rosio in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Everardo Selmo saved Sporting Menem DEAD from getting behind. When Augusto Bitxintxo fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Menem DEAD's protests and gave Augusto Bitxintxo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Almagro booed when Sporting Menem DEAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Bitxintxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 73 minutes, Leopoldo Rosio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Almagro and the Sporting Menem DEAD players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 74 played minutes Club Almagro got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Rosio. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leopoldo Rosio in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Everardo Selmo saved Sporting Menem DEAD from getting behind. Raimundo Ferman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Everardo Marcones in the 77th minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Rosio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Everardo Selmo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 87th minute, Sporting Menem DEAD's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mauricio Bonadona fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Leopoldo Rosio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leopoldo Rosio struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Everardo Selmo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Almagro. Everardo Selmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Rosio in the 94th minute of play. In the last second Everardo Selmo throw himself and got hold of the ball when Leopoldo Rosio in the 96thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post.
