Everardo Selmo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Txartiko, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Sporting Menem DEAD's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Txartiko came free, but Everardo Selmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Everardo Selmo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Alberto Txartiko came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Cucu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Txartiko couldn't finish the play. Augusto Bitxintxo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Nicanor Indartsu made a huge save. Augusto Bitxintxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicanor Indartsu having to interfere. Everardo Selmo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Txartiko's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In the 42nd match minute, Sporting Menem DEAD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teo Heli to maneuver through the defense. Everardo Selmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Herensuge in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Cucu FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberto Txartiko made a kick off. Everardo Selmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquin Musko in the 52nd minute of the match. Paolo Francis's late challenge caught a Cucu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paolo Francis helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes Sporting Menem DEAD got a freekick which was hit by Paolo Francis. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Menem DEAD's zone, Alberto Txartiko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Everardo Selmo came out of the goal and Alberto Txartiko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 56 minutes, Dante Bertran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cucu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dante Bertran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th minute Joaquin Musko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Selmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alberto Txartiko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sporting Menem DEAD's Isidro Arce got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Alberto Txartiko scored 0-2 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Everardo Selmo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alberto Txartiko took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Everardo Selmo. Everardo Selmo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Sporting Menem DEAD's Everardo Selmo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Menem DEAD from getting a goal against them. When the match was over Cucu FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sporting Menem DEAD throughout the match.
