When Sixto Rivas fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Talita's protests and gave Sixto Rivas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th minute, HIELOyFUEGO's Diego Txaran seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Diego Txaran the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of HIELOyFUEGO protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Diego Txaran had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 20th minute, Diego Txaran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sixto Rivas kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Arnoldo Tximitx struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Miguel Rodas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HIELOyFUEGO. After a rather tough play, Talita's Jeremy Bentham got a free kick in the 30th minute. The supporters of HIELOyFUEGO booed when Talita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sixto Rivas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miguel Rodas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Tximitx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Arnoldo Tximitx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnoldo Tximitx blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Rodas having to make a save. Arnoldo Tximitx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnoldo Tximitx was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnoldo Tximitx got free with Miguel Rodas in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sixto Rivas kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Talita's goalkeeper Miguel Rodas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnoldo Tximitx. Miguel Rodas made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Arnoldo Tximitx sent off a good shot on target. Mario Ponciano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Melquiades Ongile. HIELOyFUEGO's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Rodrigo Senon came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the HIELOyFUEGO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Senon couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnoldo Tximitx got free with Miguel Rodas in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 87 played minutes Talita got a freekick which was hit by Mario Ponciano. With a little luck, Talita's Miguel Rodas got control of the ball when Rodrigo Senon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Melquiades Ongile didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gogo Bermund went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 94 minutes, Arnoldo Tximitx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HIELOyFUEGO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnoldo Tximitx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Talita getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Sixto Rivas hit a great ball. Many of HIELOyFUEGO's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. HIELOyFUEGO may have spent more time on the ball, but Talita were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
