Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Venancio Artizar kicked off to start the match. Gabriel Berriotxoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinicio Fraco in the 10th minute of play. Venancio Artizar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Berriotxoa having to interfere. Hermengildo Laurgain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Gonzalo Abaunza successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in La Academia 's zone, Cristian Arnau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonzalo Abaunza came out of the goal and Cristian Arnau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Hermengildo Laurgain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th match minute, La Academia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severo Egun to maneuver through the defense. Gonzalo Abaunza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casimiro Raymundo in the 30th minute of play. Hermengildo Laurgain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, Hipolito Alfonso notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of La Academia 's Gonzalo Abaunza. Gonzalo Abaunza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 46th minute Hermengildo Laurgain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzalo Abaunza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hermengildo Laurgain to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Iker Rayman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gabriel Berriotxoa skillfully saved the ball. Casimiro Raymundo kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Hermengildo Laurgain made a precise shot to the right of Gonzalo Abaunza. La Academia 's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of La Academia :s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rancul:s goal. In the 80th minute, Hipolito Alfonso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th minute Hipolito Alfonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzalo Abaunza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severo Egun during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rancul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hipolito Alfonso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Rancul booed when La Academia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Sindo didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rancul fully deserved thier win.
