After a defensive mix-up in Gonzalez Catan's zone, Angelo Lawrence stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomero Oidor came out of the goal and Angelo Lawrence tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute, Arnulfo Elodio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leon Salamon struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Alfredo Bero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gonzalez Catan. Gonzalez Catan were furious when Oscar Tabby was red carded, 24 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave chadelsur a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Danilo Sindo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gonzalez Catan's Baldomero Oidor. 1-2. chadelsur's Angelo Lawrence got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute Angelo Lawrence shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Oidor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eriberto Danel in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baldomero Oidor saved Gonzalez Catan from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nemesio Abechuco during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Gonzalez Catan's Nemesio Abechuco got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
