Aurelio Selatse didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leon Salamon went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Gonzalez Catan getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Leon Salamon hit a great ball. Rodrigo Bero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Selatse having to interfere. Leon Salamon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aurelio Selatse read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Marcelino Soter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Leon Salamon notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Los Cardales's Aurelio Selatse. Aurelio Selatse came out of the goal and Leon Salamon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Leon Salamon came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Gonzalez Catan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leon Salamon couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leon Salamon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ladislao Victoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
