Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Amador Curcio started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Manantiales AFC's zone, Ildefonso Bermund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Gar came out of the goal and Ildefonso Bermund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Astor Gar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amador Curcio in the 6th minute of play. In the 9th minute of the match Justo Duarte shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Astor Gar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Carlos Theobald hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Gualjaina's Amador Curcio got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amador Curcio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Astor Gar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manantiales AFC's Astor Gar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ildefonso Bermund in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ildefonso Bermund in the 19th minute of play forced Manantiales AFC's goalkeeper Astor Gar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Ildefonso Bermund made a precise shot to the right of Astor Gar. Manantiales AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Amador Curcio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amador Curcio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Gar having to interfere. Benigno Iturri kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Amador Curcio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gualjaina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amador Curcio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Ildefonso Bermund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Astor Gar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Amador Curcio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ildefonso Bermund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Theobald to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Amador Curcio fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Astor Gar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amador Curcio, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. When Amador Curcio came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Gualjaina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amador Curcio couldn't finish the play. Astor Gar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amador Curcio, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. If Amador Curcio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Ildefonso Bermund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Manantiales AFC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Benigno Iturri hit a great ball. Astor Gar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amador Curcio in the 72nd minute of play. Astor Gar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ildefonso Bermund's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. The audience was convinced that Amador Curcio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Astor Gar was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. After having played for 78 minutes, Amador Curcio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gualjaina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amador Curcio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Amador Curcio, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 83 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Astor Gar was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Ildefonso Bermund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Gualjaina could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Manantiales AFC throughout the match.
