The supporters of V.Lynch booed when Verdinegros San Juan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Artizar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Benjamin Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. V.Lynch's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Argoitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benjamin Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Torres charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Humberto Torres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 played minutes Verdinegros San Juan got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Torres. Gilberto Argoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Machado in the 15th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Tobias Gilen fired a really elegant long shot, but Gilberto Argoitz threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. In the 19th minute, Lázaro Frutos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gilberto Argoitz, passed just outside the right post. In the 20th match minute, Verdinegros San Juan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Torres to maneuver through the defense. Sixto Maura was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 21st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Verdinegros San Juan's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Benjamin Machado 23 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Panfilo in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Godofredo Hanni saved V.Lynch from getting behind. When Verdinegros San Juan's Simon Basualdo in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye V.Lynch's goalie prevented a goal. Ambrosio Norino hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Benjamin Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Gilberto Argoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Verdinegros San Juan's Gilberto Argoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Machado in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Machado in the 46th minute of play forced Verdinegros San Juan's goalkeeper Gilberto Argoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Panfilo made a kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind V.Lynch's goalkeeper Godofredo Hanni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Godofredo Hanni was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paulo Panfilo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 54 minute of play. Lázaro Frutos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Lázaro Frutos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilberto Argoitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Simon Basualdo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Godofredo Hanni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godofredo Hanni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Basualdo, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Verdinegros San Juan's Gerardo Artizar got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Paulo Panfilo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Godofredo Hanni came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Verdinegros San Juan's Simon Basualdo. But to his dismay, Simon Basualdo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
