Pastor Lazcano's late challenge caught a Renca AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pastor Lazcano helped the player get up and apologised. Renca AFC's Constantino Ibar couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 17th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Grana FC. If Eleuterio Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute, Artemio Gartzen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eleuterio Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan Remigio having to make a save. When Godofredo Pasqual fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Renca AFC's protests and gave Godofredo Pasqual a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Grana FC booed when Renca AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Pasqual didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute Artemio Gartzen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Remigio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renca AFC's Juan Remigio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Gartzen in the 38th minute of play.
