Constantino Ibar helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Renca AFC's Constantino Ibar got a free kick in the 4th minute. When Fidel Iztal came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Verdinegros San Juan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fidel Iztal couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Renca AFC booed when Verdinegros San Juan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximiliano Erramu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute, Constantino Ibar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Verdinegros San Juan's zone, Gaspar Abechuco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Argoitz came out of the goal and Gaspar Abechuco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Verdinegros San Juan's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gaspar Abechuco 12 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Renca AFC's Fernan Flor got a free kick in the 17th minute. Juan Remigio came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Verdinegros San Juan's Paulo Panfilo. But to his dismay, Paulo Panfilo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Juan Remigio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Panfilo in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Verdinegros San Juan's Simon Basualdo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juan Remigio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. A collision led to Renca AFC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Armando Donio hit a great ball. Paulo Panfilo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Remigio having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Renca AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Basualdo came free, but Juan Remigio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Paulo Panfilo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo Panfilo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Verdinegros San Juan's Simon Basualdo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Renca AFC's Juan Remigio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Panfilo in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Galtero in the 59th minute of play forced Verdinegros San Juan's goalkeeper Gilberto Argoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Panfilo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Juan Remigio came out and tried to block the shot, but Paulo Panfilo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 60th minute. Juan Remigio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Panfilo in the 64th minute of the match. Juan Remigio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simon Basualdo in the 65th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Verdinegros San Juan's zone, Gaspar Abechuco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Argoitz came out of the goal and Gaspar Abechuco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th match minute, Renca AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Abechuco to maneuver through the defense. Juan Remigio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Panfilo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, Hipolito Gelmiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ladislao Bidun took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gilberto Argoitz. Verdinegros San Juan's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gilberto Argoitz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaspar Abechuco in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilberto Argoitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Abechuco in the 95th minute of play forced Verdinegros San Juan's goalkeeper Gilberto Argoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Verdinegros San Juan walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
