An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Iliana in the 9th minute of play forced Pavón's goalkeeper Gavino Ladio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pavón's zone, Raimundo Lugo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavino Ladio came out of the goal and Raimundo Lugo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Pavón getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Francisco Quiroga hit a great ball. The supporters of C.A. Boca Juniors booed when Pavón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Quiroga didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raimundo Lugo in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gavino Ladio saved Pavón from getting behind. Gavino Ladio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Lugo in the 19th minute of the match. If Gerardo Iliana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aristides Buinton was extremely unlucky when he, in the 26th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 27th match minute, C.A. Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anastasio Beti to maneuver through the defense. Aristides Buinton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Hitzeder having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Pavón's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Iliana came free, but Gavino Ladio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Aristides Buinton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicasio Hitzeder was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. When Aristides Buinton came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Pavón fans jumped to their feet. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raimundo Lugo got free with Gavino Ladio in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Primitivo Cordeal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gavino Ladio. Pavón's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Aristides Buinton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Hitzeder having to interfere. A collision led to C.A. Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Astor Eufemio hit a great ball. Carolo Ulizes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the C.A. Boca Juniors players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pavón.
