After having played for 46 minutes, Roberto Kaxen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. OLIMPO BAHIA BLANCA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Kaxen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Jaime Jaunzuria made the kick off in the second half. Ariel Ipar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquiles Oriche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 52nd minute, Jeremias Herauso reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ariel Ipar. The goal made the score 1-2. Aquiles Oriches short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Ariel Ipar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Roberto Gurutz made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by OLIMPO BAHIA BLANCA's Jeremias Herauso. 63 minutes into the match, OLIMPO BAHIA BLANCA's Roberto Kaxen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ariel Ipar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. OLIMPO BAHIA BLANCA played a much better game than River United FC and deserved their victory. The River United FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
