With a left leg Desiderio Sol saved Mansilla FC from getting behind. Epifanio Ibon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the game, Florentino Egoitz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Desiderio Sol was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Sportivo Villa Devoto booed when Mansilla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Epifanio Ibon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Desiderio Sol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentino Egoitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Mansilla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Octavio Irrintzi came free, but Desiderio Sol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, one of Mansilla FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Higinio Ikatz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mansilla FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Higinio Ikatz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Bela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eduardo Bela was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Higinio Ikatz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Higinio Ikatz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. When Ambrosio Galoer came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Mansilla FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ambrosio Galoer couldn't finish the play. If Florentino Egoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Sportivo Villa Devoto were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ambrosio Galoer made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Epifanio Ibon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Bela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mansilla FC's Desiderio Sol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Oskarbi in the 63rd minute of play. Desiderio Sol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florentino Egoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Hernan Koldobika kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Desiderio Sol. That made the score 1-3 in the 67 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florentino Egoitz in the 72nd minute of play forced Mansilla FC's goalkeeper Desiderio Sol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eduardo Bela came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Mansilla FC's Higinio Ikatz. But to his dismay, Higinio Ikatz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. 81 minutes into the match, Sportivo Villa Devoto's goal looked a bit too open when Ambrosio Galoer came free, but Eduardo Bela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Desiderio Sol made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Octavio Irrintzi sent off a good shot on target. Mansilla FC's Epifanio Ibon got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ambrosio Galoer came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Mansilla FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ambrosio Galoer couldn't finish the play. Ambrosio Galoer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Eduardo Bela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ambrosio Galoer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Mansilla FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Sportivo Villa Devoto to win.
