Spectators: 7240 (Terracing: 5432, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tadeo Tirso took the kick off in the first half of the match. Pablo Gudesteo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Gaxan in the 4th minute of the match. Ciriaco Estavan's late challenge caught a Smith's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciriaco Estavan helped the player get up and apologised. Atenas -cba-'s Pablo Gudesteo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Atenas -cba- from getting a goal against them. In the 12th match minute, Atenas -cba- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquilino Ricart to maneuver through the defense. Smith's Mario Cordeal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeo Tirso in the 15th minute of play. Mario Cordeal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Tirso, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 23 minutes into the game, Astor Amato was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atenas -cba-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Smith the free kick. Pablo Gudesteo came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Smith's Evaristo Emesto. But to his dismay, Evaristo Emesto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Pablo Gudesteo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eustacio Sazon's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Atenas -cba-'s Tiburcio Sagrario got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ramon Neron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pablo Gudesteo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 44th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pablo Quexal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Bruno Emeterio made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Ladislao Gaxan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Smith's supporters rose to their feet, but Ladislao Gaxan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pablo Gudesteo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 56 minutes of play Atenas -cba-'s Astor Amato was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Astor Amato hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Pablo Gudesteo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ladislao Gaxan in the 58th minute of play. Mario Cordeal went to the wrong direction when Leopoldo Rafel was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Bruno Emeterio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Pablo Gudesteo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Eustacio Sazon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ladislao Gaxan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Gudesteo having to interfere. Bruno Emeterio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Pablo Gudesteo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 80 played minutes Atenas -cba- got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Estavan. When Evaristo Emesto came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Smith fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evaristo Emesto couldn't finish the play. Pablo Gudesteo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Emeterio in the 83rd minute of the match. Tiburcio Sagrario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pablo Gudesteo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ladislao Gaxan went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Atenas -cba- getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Aquilino Ricart hit a great ball. Eustacio Sazon hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When Eustacio Sazon fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Smith's protests and gave Eustacio Sazon a yellow card for diving instead. Atenas -cba-'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
