The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Smith's Eustacio Sazon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gregorio James. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Magic FC's zone, Ladislao Gaxan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregorio James came out of the goal and Ladislao Gaxan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Josué Quintela scored 1-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mario Cordeal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 20 minutes into the match, Magic FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eustacio Sazon came free, but Gregorio James reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute Bruno Emeterio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio James saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Ladislao Gaxan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Gregorio James was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ladislao Gaxan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ladislao Gaxan struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Gregorio James didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Smith. Josué Quintela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romulo Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Cordeal having to interfere. Mario Cordeal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josué Quintela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 45 minutes, Eustacio Sazon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Smith and the Magic FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 45 played minutes Smith got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Sazon. Magic FC's Josué Quintela got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Josué Quintela to make the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Josué Quintela got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 56 minutes into the match, Smith's goalkeeper Mario Cordeal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Josué Quintela. In the 57th minute, Eustacio Sazon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ladislao Gaxan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Smith's Eustacio Sazon got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodolfo Astrada hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Smith's Ladislao Gaxan got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Magic FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Emeterio came free, but Gregorio James reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mario Cordeal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Astrada in the 79th minute of the match. Mario Cordeal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josué Quintela in the 83rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adrian Ascencio during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 85 played minutes Magic FC got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Ascencio. If Josué Quintela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mario Cordeal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josué Quintela in the 92nd minute of play. Aldo Urko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Mario Cordeal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Magic FC's Aldo Urko suffered a concussion in the 94th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 94 minutes into the game, Evaristo Emesto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Smith's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Magic FC the free kick. After 96 played minutes Smith got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Emesto. Smith were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Magic FC for a fine match.
