After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Nicolas Ignado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fabio Videl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Aureliano Taurino fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lumb FC's protests and gave Aureliano Taurino a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sklatenn F.C booed when Lumb FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aureliano Taurino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 6 played minutes, Sklatenn F.C's Marcelo Oto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabio Videl came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sklatenn F.C reached it. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lumb FC's goalkeeper Fabio Videl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 11th match minute, Lumb FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureliano Taurino to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Lumb FC defense, Nicolas Ignado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabio Videl. The Lumb FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabio Videl should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Oxel in the 17th minute of play forced Lumb FC's goalkeeper Fabio Videl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Lumb FC's Melchor Maurin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santos Gaxan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fabricio Vigil hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Freddy Oxel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Videl having to interfere. Fabio Videl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolas Ignado's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Fabio Videl made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Fabio Videl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Oxel in the 48th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicolas Ignado made a kick off. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lumb FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcelo Oto was slow to take the kick. During this time Sklatenn F.C's players had a chance to rest. A well done corner resulted in Nicolas Ignado drilling the ball in to score 0-3 behind Lumb FC's goalkeeper. Freddy Oxel came free with the goalkeeper in the 58th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fabio Videl could save by the left post. If Nicolas Ignado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 played minutes Lumb FC got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Taurino. Freddy Oxel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fabio Videl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Ignado, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute, Marcelo Oto sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lumb FC's Fabio Videl didn't even have to move. Aureliano Taurino hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Nicolas Ignado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gregorio Pacorro's late challenge caught a Sklatenn F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gregorio Pacorro helped the player get up and apologised. Gregorio Pacorro kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Freddy Oxel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lumb FC's goalkeeper Fabio Videl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sklatenn F.C's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
