In the 20th match minute, Morgan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaudencio Hodei to maneuver through the defense. After 21st play minutes Ignacio Otsoa shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Amador Timo and just under the crossbar into goal. Ignacio Otsoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amador Timo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Reno in the 27th minute of the match. Gustavo Liher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Montez, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Independiente Rivadavia's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Montez came free, but Gustavo Liher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Independiente Rivadavia getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Albino Dominix hit a great ball. Victor Guillelme kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The crowd rose to their feet as Independiente Rivadavia's Ignacio Otsoa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Amador Timo. That made the score 0-2 after 55 minutes of play. Ignacio Otsoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Amador Timo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Independiente Rivadavia booed when Morgan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaudencio Hodei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gogo Xabier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Amador Timo made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Independiente Rivadavia's Ignacio Otsoa got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Eusebio Reno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Morgan's Amador Timo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Otsoa in the 74th minute of play. After having played for 75 minutes, Eusebio Reno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The audience was convinced that Ignacio Otsoa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amador Timo was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. When the final whistle sounded Independiente Rivadavia left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Morgan.
