Gustavo Liher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Prudencio Gines's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. AC MILAN's Tobias Lehior played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Otsoa in the 39th minute of play. Prudencio Gines took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustavo Liher. Gustavo Liher dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 47th match minute, AC MILAN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Itzaina to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Tobias Lehior didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusebio Reno went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. AC MILAN's Serafin Abeijon got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Apolo Quintun hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute of the match Prudencio Gines shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustavo Liher showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 86th minute Ignacio Otsoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Lehior saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute Independiente Rivadavia were awarded a corner. Eusebio Reno went to the cornerflag to take it. Ignacio Otsoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Tobias Lehior tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
