El Principe F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Erasmo Obano scored to the left of an out of position Narcomillo Paez, making the score, 1-0. With a little luck, El Principe F.C.'s Narcomillo Paez got control of the ball when Virgilio Chepe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Virgilio Chepe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Narcomillo Paez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Chepe in the 25th minute of play forced El Principe F.C.'s goalkeeper Narcomillo Paez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Leonel Alzola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Virgilio Chepe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Erasmo Obano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Narcomillo Paez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Formosa's goal looked a bit too open when Venancio Sedeni came free, but Manuel Sendoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Virgilio Chepe struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Narcomillo Paez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Formosa. In the 58th minute, Virgilio Chepe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Formosa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After a rather tough play, El Principe F.C.'s Damian Crispo got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 71st minute Erasmo Obano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narcomillo Paez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Principe F.C.'s Venancio Sedeni got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Venancio Sedeni got free with Manuel Sendoa in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Narcomillo Paez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Chepe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Chepe in the 83rd minute of play forced El Principe F.C.'s goalkeeper Narcomillo Paez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cirilo Cesario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Manuel Sendoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
