In the 7th minute of the match Paolo Ovando sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adrian Gumaro skillfully saved the ball. Alvaro Luar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Gaskon having to interfere. Ariel Frances kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Gudesteo in the 18th minute of play forced Avaí Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Adrian Gumaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Green Hills's Rosendo Paulin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adrian Gumaro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 25th minute, Green Hills's Claudio Gudesteo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Avaí Futebol Clube's Adrian Gumaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Gudesteo in the 30th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rosendo Paulin got free with Adrian Gumaro in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avaí Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Adrian Gumaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Rosendo Paulin came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Green Hills fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rosendo Paulin couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute, Eleuterio Castel made a precise shot to the right of Feliberto Gaskon. Green Hills's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. When Eleuterio Castel came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Avaí Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eleuterio Castel couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eleuterio Castel to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Paulin in the 55th minute of play forced Avaí Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Adrian Gumaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Avaí Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Gudesteo came free, but Adrian Gumaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avaí Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Adrian Gumaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adrian Gumaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Gudesteo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Green Hills's Claudio Gudesteo got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Green Hills's Feliberto Gaskon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Ourente in the 93rd minute of play. Adrian Gumaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosendo Paulin in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Alvaro Luar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
