After 21 minutes of play, Avaí Futebol Clube's Alvaro Luar made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Feliberto Izotz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th minute Alvaro Luar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Izotz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Serafin Franco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eleuterio Castel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Izotz having to interfere. In the 38th minute Eleuterio Castel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Izotz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliberto Izotz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eleuterio Castel, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. A collision led to Lanus F.C. getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Emiliano Umea hit a great ball. In the 49th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lanus F.C.'s goalkeeper Feliberto Izotz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eleuterio Castel made a kick off. Feliberto Izotz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eleuterio Castel in the 54th minute. Adrian Gumaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Uhin in the 56th minute of play. Eleuterio Castel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Feliberto Izotz made a huge save. Aurelio Nayely hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. When Edgardo Uhin came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Lanus F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgardo Uhin couldn't finish the play. Feliberto Izotz made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Eleuterio Castel sent off a good shot on target. 96 minutes into the game, Eleuterio Castel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Feliberto Izotz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Avaí Futebol Clube's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
