The supporters of Fenix booed when Lanus F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damaso Chap didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Nereo Pierres made a precise shot to the right of Feliberto Izotz. Lanus F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Feliberto Izotz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Pierres in the 45th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nereo Pierres in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Feliberto Izotz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgardo Uhin to strike the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes, Emiliano Umea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lanus F.C. and the Fenix players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Fenix's zone, Serafin Franco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damaso Baristo came out of the goal and Serafin Franco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Fenix getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Urbano Truylos hit a great ball. Nereo Pierres let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 79th minute shot 1-4 at rihgt post. Baldomiro Qwinton hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute Nereo Pierres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Izotz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lanus F.C.'s Edgardo Uhin got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Lanus F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Fenix were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
