Lucio Eguzki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 27th match minute, Bº Malvinas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliciano Eguerdi to maneuver through the defense. After 29 minutes, Placido Heriberto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bº Malvinas and the Boca Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bº Malvinas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bernardo Ursino ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Feliciano Eguerdi during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave Boca Juniors a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bernardo Ursino, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bº Malvinas's Lucio Eguzki. 0-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Gabriel Inautzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albano Tono in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Bº Malvinas getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Angelo Odilon hit a great ball. 2-3 became the score in the 58th minute when Aurelio Abel elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Teofilo Lop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Eguzki having to interfere. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Teofilo Lop hit a great ball. With a little luck, Bº Malvinas's Lucio Eguzki got control of the ball when Elias Berart tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lucio Eguzki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Lop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albano Tono recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Bº Malvinas's Lucio Eguzki got control of the ball when Elias Berart tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 88th minute there was a penalty for Bº Malvinas. Angelo Odilon stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gabriel Inautzi. 3-3. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Bº Malvinas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albano Ekaitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elias Berart struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Lucio Eguzki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Juniors. When Elias Berart came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Berart couldn't finish the play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
