Gonzalo Tolino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Berart in the 13th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Elias Berart managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Berart was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A. S. Livorno's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Elias Berart scored to the left of an out of position Gonzalo Tolino, making the score, 1-0. In the 30th minute, Isidro Oliviero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gabriel Inautzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Jerano in the 32nd minute of play. When Benedicto Ortzi fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boca Juniors's protests and gave Benedicto Ortzi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedicto Ortzi to maneuver through the defense. Isidro Oliviero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Berart in the 37th minute of play forced A. S. Livorno's goalkeeper Gonzalo Tolino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute, Elias Berart fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gonzalo Tolino, passed just outside the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Iker Handi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Iker Handi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gonzalo Tolino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ruben Lluques hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Gabriel Inautzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidro Oliviero, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Elias Berart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonzalo Tolino having to interfere. After 57 played minutes A. S. Livorno got a freekick which was hit by Tiburcio Reynardo. Gonzalo Tolino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iker Handi's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. The audience was convinced that Elias Berart's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gonzalo Tolino was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. 61 minutes into the game, Lino Pudes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A. S. Livorno's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boca Juniors the free kick. Lino Pudes hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After 62 played minutes, Boca Juniors's Bernardo Ursino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gonzalo Tolino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Boca Juniors reached it. Iker Handi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, A. S. Livorno's Lino Pudes got a free kick in the 66th minute. After having played for 72 minutes, Elias Berart managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Berart was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gonzalo Tolino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iker Handi in the 75th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the game, Blas Marko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boca Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A. S. Livorno the free kick. When Iker Handi came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iker Handi couldn't finish the play. If Iker Handi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the game, Denis Ortle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A. S. Livorno's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boca Juniors the free kick. Denis Ortle kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Elias Berart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonzalo Tolino having to interfere. Iker Handi scored 3-0 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gonzalo Tolino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Boca Juniors players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
