An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Olayo in the 7th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Virgilio Abad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mario Olayo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Santiago Salvino struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Virgilio Abad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zetta FC. After 18 minutes, Efrain Kaxen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Racing Club and the Zetta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 21 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Olayo came free, but Virgilio Abad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Anselmo Rius had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aureliano Cordareo. Zetta FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anselmo Rius was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Racing Club's Virgilio Abad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Olayo in the 29th minute of play. If Mario Olayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonio Frances charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antonio Frances the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Antonio Frances hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Virgilio Abad, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Virgilio Abad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Olayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mario Olayo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Antonio Frances shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Abad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mario Olayo came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Zetta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Olayo couldn't finish the play. Santiago Salvino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Virgilio Abad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Roman Cidro hit a great ball. Mario Olayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgilio Abad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Salvino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Anselmo Rius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Rius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aureliano Cordareo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 68th minute Juan Theobald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aureliano Cordareo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute of the match Victorio Bizi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Virgilio Abad skillfully saved the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Juan Theobald recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aureliano Cordareo. Juan Theobald showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. 78 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Salvino came free, but Virgilio Abad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th play minute Anselmo Rius came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Aureliano Cordareo. 0-3. Racing Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zetta FC the free kick. Virgilio Abad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Olayo in the 94th minute of the match. Virgilio Abad came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Zetta FC's Santiago Salvino. But to his dismay, Santiago Salvino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Chants of Racing Club echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Zetta FC had held the ball for most of the match.
