An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Ilixo in the 18th minute of play forced EL ESFUERZO FC's goalkeeper Platon Alanis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionuț Bulcă kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Roberto Bras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute Saturnino Rufo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Platon Alanis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cerrillos FC's zone, Roberto Bras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prudencio Fernandes came out of the goal and Roberto Bras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roberto Bras might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Prudencio Fernandes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roberto Bras ran back to his position shaking his head. Platon Alanis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leo Ilixo went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Platon Alanis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Ilixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Erasmo Baleren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Platon Alanis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Rufo in the 46th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roberto Bras to strike the kick off in the second half. Cerrillos FC's Prudencio Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Bras in the 76th minute of play. After 85 minutes, Roberto Bras mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EL ESFUERZO FC and the Cerrillos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roberto Bras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prudencio Fernandes having to interfere.
