Spectators: 7295 (Terracing: 5473, Seating: 1677, VIP seats: 145) El Rayo made a substitution. Silvio Vistruario replaced Guaberto Gizon. Eloy Chepe was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eleuterio Hats showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. The El Rayo fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when El Rayo's Lucio Valentine looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 20 minutes into the match, Libertad FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Valentine came free, but Simon Efraim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Libertad FC booed when El Rayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualterio Ciano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Eleuterio Hats managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Libertad FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eleuterio Hats was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Simon Efraim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Valentine in the 26th minute of play. Eleuterio Hats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Chepe having to interfere. Lucio Valentine recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Simon Efraim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucio Valentine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute, Teodosio Chumo made a precise shot to the right of Eloy Chepe. El Rayo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Lucio Valentine blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simon Efraim having to make a save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucio Valentine stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Libertad FC's zone, Saul Garikoitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Efraim came out of the goal and Saul Garikoitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simon Efraim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Valentine in the 59th minute of play. After 62 played minutes Libertad FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Oskitz. 63 minutes into the match, Lucio Valentine notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Libertad FC's Simon Efraim. Simon Efraim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 73 played minutes, Libertad FC's Anier Furman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eloy Chepe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Libertad FC reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucio Valentine in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simon Efraim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 75 played minutes Libertad FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Oskitz. In the 77th minute, Libertad FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Saul Garikoitz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With his leg Simon Efraim managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when El Rayo's Lucio Valentine fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 82nd minute, Saul Garikoitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Lucio Valentine got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Simon Efraim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silvio Vistruario went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Simon Efraim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Saul Garikoitz in the 86th minute. Lucio Valentine could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Simon Efraim made a huge save. Simon Efraim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Garikoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Lucio Valentine managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Rayo's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucio Valentine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Efraim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th minute Lucio Valentine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Efraim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Rayo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
