The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ivan Ayala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Santiago FC booed when Fighiera FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Joseph didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute of the match Primitivo Etxatxu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ignacio Ostots showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Santiago FC's Romulo Bernat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ignacio Ostots narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Anastasio Eneto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Ostots having to interfere. Ignacio Ostots stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anastasio Eneto's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. After some careless play in the Santiago FC defense, Ivan Ayala kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Eyague. The Santiago FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Eyague should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute, Anastasio Eneto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivan Ayala scored 0-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Eyague, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Romulo Bernat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Ignacio Ostots made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Santiago FC's zone, Ivan Ayala stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Eyague came out of the goal and Ivan Ayala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Saverio Cordarrel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ezequiel Vigil kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Saverio Cordarrel to strike the kick off in the second half. Ignacio Ostots took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anastasio Eneto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fighiera FC's goalkeeper Ignacio Ostots, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anastasio Eneto in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ignacio Ostots saved Fighiera FC from getting behind. The referee ignored Santiago FC's protests and gave Ezequiel Vigil a yellow card for diving instead. After 92 played minutes Santiago FC got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Vigil. 94 minutes into the game, one of Santiago FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Santiago FC:s David Eyague showed great skill when he stopped Samuel Matia:s penalty. The corner ended in Blas Eufrasio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Santiago FC's David Eyague did a great save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fighiera FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
