Talleres's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelino Vasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeo Santio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, C.A. Talleres's Angelino Vasco got a free kick in the 13th minute. Esteban Beltxe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Derwin in the 21st minute of play forced C.A. Talleres's goalkeeper Leonel Tanio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Derwin scored 0-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leonel Tanio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of C.A. Talleres booed when Potrerillos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonzo Cordarrol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonatan Stephen's late challenge caught a Potrerillos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonatan Stephen helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, C.A. Talleres's Jonatan Stephen got a free kick in the 30th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Potrerillos's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Beltxe came free, but Amadeo Santio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 minutes of play C.A. Talleres's Jonatan Stephen was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 42 played minutes C.A. Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Stephen. Amadeo Santio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angelino Vasco went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Talleres fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Esteban Beltxe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Amadeo Santio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esteban Beltxe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Santio having to interfere. After 97 minutes, Justino Bermudo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Potrerillos and the C.A. Talleres players grew even worse after the yellow card. Erlingur Haaland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amadeo Santio having to make a save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C.A. Talleres fans cheered their team off the field, for while Potrerillos had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
