The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 14th minute Rolando Derwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Feliu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horacio Feliu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rolando Derwin in the 16th minute. In the 16th minute, Mariano Txindoki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Potrerillos's Rolando Derwin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 17th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Oktober 1979. Horacio Feliu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pastor Bizi in the 22nd minute of the match. Godfredo Ortle hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The supporters of Potrerillos booed when Oktober 1979 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Korneliusz Madajczyk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolando Derwin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Horacio Feliu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Rolando Derwin took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Horacio Feliu to make any attempt to save it. Severiano Gentza made in the 35th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Godfredo Ortle immediately put the ball in play. Rolando Derwin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Horacio Feliu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rolando Derwin was the one to do the kick off. Korneliusz Madajczyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rolando Derwin in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horacio Feliu saved Oktober 1979 from getting behind. Amadeo Santio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Korneliusz Madajczyk in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, Clemente Veronica left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Potrerillos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 66th minute Rolando Derwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Feliu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horacio Feliu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Luzea in the 67th minute of play. A collision led to Oktober 1979 getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jeronimo Quentin hit a great ball. Korneliusz Madajczyk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Amadeo Santio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolando Derwin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeronimo Quentin during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jeronimo Quentin hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Clemente Veronica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Horacio Feliu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Korneliusz Madajczyk hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Rolando Derwin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Feliu having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Oktober 1979's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Derwin came free, but Horacio Feliu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Derwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rolando Derwin in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horacio Feliu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee ended the match the Potrerillos players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
