Candido Sendoa's late challenge caught a Canallas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Candido Sendoa helped the player get up and apologised. Candido Sendoa hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Silverio Eutropio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aquilino Perrando having to make a save. Florencio Libertad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Palominos's Aquilino Perrando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Libertad in the 24th minute of play. The supporters of Palominos booed when Canallas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Stephen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36thth minute of the game Andres Quintana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canallas's Ruperto Emesto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Carmelo Caradaro fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canallas's protests and gave Carmelo Caradaro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Canallas getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Carmelo Caradaro hit a great ball. Ruperto Emesto was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Osvaldo Domeka. Federico Bertin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Ruperto Emesto made a huge save. In the 43rd minute, Federico Bertin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Canallas's goalkeeper Ruperto Emesto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Federico Bertin. 47 minutes into the game, Florencio Libertad cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Aquilino Perrando was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Florencio Libertad might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aquilino Perrando. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florencio Libertad ran back to his position shaking his head. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
