Dionisio Francis kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. A collision led to Garruchos getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Clodoveo Bernad hit a great ball. Ricardo Lluques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Macerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The supporters of Babilonia FC booed when Garruchos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Garaona didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Lluques made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Constantino Aimar sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Garruchos were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Generoso Gagriel made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Garruchos got a freekick which was hit by Rene Garaona. When Clodoveo Bernad fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garruchos's protests and gave Clodoveo Bernad a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Garruchos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Babilonia FC a penalty, 56 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Geronimo Mendebal, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Garruchos's Ricardo Lluques. 1-3. Benicio Lucero was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 60th minute. Garruchos's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 62nd minute, Generoso Gagriel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Garruchos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Roman Cheche hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Jens Bogren made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Generoso Gagriel sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Babilonia FC's zone, Generoso Gagriel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jens Bogren came out of the goal and Generoso Gagriel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victorio Perrando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Jens Bogren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Lluques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantino Aimar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Garruchos played a much better game than Babilonia FC and deserved their victory. The Babilonia FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
