The audience thought a goal was coming when Roque Bermudo got free with Zeledon Rivas in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, SPortivo Moretti's Tadeo Iago got a free kick in the 16th minute. The supporters of Mancardos FC booed when SPortivo Moretti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cecilio Maldonado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Mancardos FC's Roque Bermudo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zeledon Rivas. Zeledon Rivas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. With a little luck, SPortivo Moretti's Zeledon Rivas got control of the ball when Placido Abecia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zeledon Rivas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roque Bermudo went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Roque Bermudo took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Zeledon Rivas to make any attempt to save it. Zeledon Rivas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Bermudo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roque Bermudo got free with Zeledon Rivas in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Roque Bermudo took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Zeledon Rivas to make any attempt to save it. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cecilio Maldonado to strike the kick off in the second half.
