If Haroldo Ponce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16thth minute of the game Haroldo Ponce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carolina's Aaron Itzaina was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 17th minute, Feliciano Grabiel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aaron Itzaina. The goal made the score 2-0. Ieltxu Casero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Santana in the 25th minute of the match. Celestino Perpinya kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haroldo Ponce in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aaron Itzaina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30th minute, Iguassu's Feliciano Grabiel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aaron Itzaina. Aaron Itzaina yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Alonzo Marin charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alonzo Marin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes Iguassu got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Marin. Aaron Itzaina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Ponce in the 49th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Honorato Matthew during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Serafin Gauargi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Serafin Gauargi came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Iguassu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafin Gauargi couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Carolina's zone, Serafin Gauargi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aaron Itzaina came out of the goal and Serafin Gauargi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aaron Itzaina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celestino Perpinya in the 83rd minute of the match. Haroldo Ponce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Aaron Itzaina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aaron Itzaina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafin Gauargi, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. With a left leg Ieltxu Casero saved Iguassu from getting behind. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Iguassu fully deserved thier win.
