Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Iguassu's Haroldo Ponce started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pastor Llorienzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Ieltxu Casero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iguassu's Ieltxu Casero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Galeno in the 9th minute of play. When Pascual Oton came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Iguassu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pascual Oton couldn't finish the play. In the 14thth minute of the game Haroldo Ponce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SS Español's Javier Marz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Feliciano Grabiel sped through SS Español's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Javier Marz. 27 minutes into the game, Iguassu's Haroldo Ponce nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Javier Marz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Feliciano Grabiel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Javier Marz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Haroldo Ponce's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Haroldo Ponce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Marz having to interfere. Javier Marz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliciano Grabiel in the 37th minute of the match. A collision led to Iguassu getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Pascual Oton hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Pascual Oton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Victor Galeno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ieltxu Casero having to make a save. SS Español's Javier Marz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save SS Español from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute, Victor Galeno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
