Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filomeno Herena in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Florentino Lano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 14th minute, Filomeno Herena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Suplentes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 21 minutes, Bartolo Transito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Suplentes and the Defensores F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bartolo Transito kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Artemio Urdaspal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Amancio Inautzi made a huge save. After some careless play in the Defensores F.C. defense, Ramiro Cordeal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Florentino Lano. The Defensores F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florentino Lano should have stopped the shot. Ramiro Cordeal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florentino Lano having to interfere. Florentino Lano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Sidro in the 34th minute of the match. If Alvaro Sidro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramiro Cordeal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Florentino Lano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Cordeal in the 40th minute of play forced Defensores F.C.'s goalkeeper Florentino Lano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florentino Lano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolo Transito in the 41st minute of the match. Filomeno Herena took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florentino Lano. Florentino Lano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Florentino Lano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Transito in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramiro Cordeal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Defensores F.C.'s goalkeeper Florentino Lano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bartolo Transito. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abel Maiorga in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amancio Inautzi saved Suplentes from getting behind. Bartolo Transito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Florentino Lano made a huge save. In the 66th minute of the match, Alvaro Sidro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Florentino Lano was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Abel Maiorga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amancio Inautzi having to make a save. Bartolo Transito struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Florentino Lano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Suplentes. A collision led to Defensores F.C. getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Marcelo Isauro hit a great ball. The supporters of Defensores F.C. booed when Suplentes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias Ferrando didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Marcelo Isauro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 81st minute, Ramiro Cordeal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Defensores F.C.'s Florentino Lano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Defensores F.C. from getting a goal against them. 85 minutes into the match, Defensores F.C.'s goalkeeper Florentino Lano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bartolo Transito.
