The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sergio Abarca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Jeraldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidio Cordarrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Naranja AFC's Sergio Abarca in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Naranja AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Del Piero 10 the free kick. Ambrosio Roldan hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Mauricio Lixandro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Abarca in the 13th minute of play forced Del Piero 10's goalkeeper Alberto Jeraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cecilio Gorbea charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cecilio Gorbea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Naranja AFC booed when Del Piero 10 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cecilio Gorbea didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 minutes Del Piero 10's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ladislao Ekialde who took care of the corner kick. Naranja AFC's Ovidio Cordarrell got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Silvestre Chus was a little too slow when Serafin Mirande got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 26th match minute, Del Piero 10 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernan Satordi to maneuver through the defense. When Sergio Abarca came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Naranja AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergio Abarca couldn't finish the play. Sergio Abarca hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Silvestre Chus made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Mauricio Lixandro sent off a good shot on target. Del Piero 10's Cecilio Gorbea pulled a muscle in his leg after 34 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 34 minutes, Alejandro Micael mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Naranja AFC and the Del Piero 10 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Del Piero 10 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genaro Senin to maneuver through the defense. Silvestre Chus made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Carmelo Iraunkor sent off a good shot on target. In the 45thth minute of the game Benedicto Locaio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Del Piero 10's Alberto Jeraldo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Silvestre Chus was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mauricio Lixandro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 47 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sergio Abarca made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match Naranja AFC got a corner. Del Piero 10's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ladislao Ekialde ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Ovidio Cordarrell heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Genaro Senin kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Ovidio Cordarrell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Alberto Jeraldo made a huge save. In the 66th match minute, Naranja AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teobaldo Pabla to maneuver through the defense. Silvestre Chus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Lixandro in the 67th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Teobaldo Pabla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sergio Abarca struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Alberto Jeraldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Naranja AFC. Sergio Abarca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alberto Jeraldo having to make a save. In the 97th minute, Ovidio Cordarrell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Del Piero 10 were victorious despite being under pressure from Naranja AFC for much of the match.
