In the 14th minute Jairo Modestio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laureano Jago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laureano Jago stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ignacio Chucho's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. A hard shot by Orlando Sustrai from long distance, 21 minutes into the match, got Demetrio Napoleone's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Leonel Telmo hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Modestio in the 27th minute of play forced Rawson F.C's goalkeeper Laureano Jago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the game, Ulises Xabel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ignacio Chucho made a kick off. Laureano Jago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Chucho in the 52nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Sportivo Villa del Parque's Ignacio Chucho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Laureano Jago. That made the score 0-3 after 54 minutes of play. The audience was convinced that Ignacio Chucho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laureano Jago was relentless in the 97th minute of the game.
