In the 7th minute of the match Vallecito got a corner. INSTITUTO FC ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ruben Cordaryal ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Bernardo Atauri almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but INSTITUTO FC ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's Gervasio Brun did a great save. Răzvan Anton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Răzvan Anton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vallecito's supporters rose to their feet, but Răzvan Anton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gervasio Brun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vallecito's Florentino Ospin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermin Txanton in the 19th minute of play. Manuel Sazon took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gervasio Brun. Gervasio Brun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Daniel Confesor might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gervasio Brun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Confesor ran back to his position shaking his head. If Răzvan Anton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as INSTITUTO FC ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's Fermin Txanton slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Florentino Ospin. That made the score 1-3 after 38 minutes of play. The supporters of INSTITUTO FC ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ booed when Vallecito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Baudelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gervasio Brun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Sazon went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fermin Txanton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bernardo Atauri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Brun having to interfere. Gervasio Brun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Confesor went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Gervasio Brun made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Daniel Confesor sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Sazon in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gervasio Brun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manuel Sazon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Gervasio Brun when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Manuel Sazon had several of the INSTITUTO FC ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 68 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-7 score and a disappointed Gervasio Brun as he didn't even see the shot coming. When Vallecito's Manuel Sazon in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Manuel Sazons short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Gervasio Brun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gervasio Brun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Sazon in the 82nd minute. Gervasio Brun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Sazon's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Gervasio Brun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Confesor in the 93rd minute. After 94 minutes of play, Vallecito's Jairo Jago made it 1-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gervasio Brun was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Vallecito's Eliseo Baudelio got a free kick in the 98th minute. Florentino Ospin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alonzo Balesio in the 99th minute of play. Vallecito played a much better game than INSTITUTO FC ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ and deserved their victory. The INSTITUTO FC ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
