JERE F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Schneider was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Barrionuevo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8thth minute of the game Bonifacio Mazuste who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moretti Fútbol Club's Reynaldo Barrionuevo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Mazuste in the 9th minute of play forced Moretti Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Reynaldo Barrionuevo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute of the match, Tobias Cucao got a very nice opportunity to score, but Reynaldo Barrionuevo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 15th match minute, JERE F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Jaunzuria to maneuver through the defense. Juan Carlos Olave showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteve Mouricio, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 32nd minute Tobias Cucao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Barrionuevo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bonifacio Mazuste couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Moretti Fútbol Club's zone, Tobias Cucao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Barrionuevo came out of the goal and Tobias Cucao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Moretti Fútbol Club's Reynaldo Barrionuevo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifacio Mazuste in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bonifacio Mazuste to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Daniel Schneider made a precise shot to the right of Reynaldo Barrionuevo. Moretti Fútbol Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Moretti Fútbol Club's Reynaldo Barrionuevo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guaberto Jaunzuria in the 55th minute of play. Bonifacio Mazuste took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reynaldo Barrionuevo. Reynaldo Barrionuevo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Reynaldo Barrionuevo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Schneider in the 60th minute of play. Reynaldo Barrionuevo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guaberto Jaunzuria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the game, JERE F.C.'s Bonifacio Mazuste nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reynaldo Barrionuevo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bonifacio Mazuste in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reynaldo Barrionuevo saved Moretti Fútbol Club from getting behind. 81 minutes into the game, Celedonio Marcones was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Moretti Fútbol Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JERE F.C. the free kick. Celedonio Marcones hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Bonifacio Mazuste scored 8-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reynaldo Barrionuevo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Bonifacio Mazuste sped through Moretti Fútbol Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reynaldo Barrionuevo. After 93 minutes, Esteve Mouricio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Moretti Fútbol Club and the JERE F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Reynaldo Barrionuevo went to the wrong direction when Carl Stormyr was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal.
