Spectators: 7473 (Terracing: 5720, Seating: 1753, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Manuel Rico took the kick off in the first half of the match. A hard shot 4 in the game by Manuel Rico from a close distance when the talented Prospero Iratze managed to make a qualified save. Gimnasia's players were relieved. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Rico in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Prospero Iratze saved Gimnasia from getting behind. In the 10th minute Urbano Quilino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Millano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th match minute, Gimnasia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Eufemio to maneuver through the defense. After 13 minutes, Victor Eufemio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gimnasia and the Sportivo Barracas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th minute, Victor Eufemio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 15 minutes, Manuel Rico made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Gimnasia's Prospero Iratze tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Rodrigo Quinto fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gimnasia's protests and gave Rodrigo Quinto a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Gimnasia's Rodrigo Quinto got a free kick in the 19th minute. Prospero Iratze didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Rico went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 27th minute, Nicolas Eguntsenti reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Prospero Iratze. The goal made the score 3-0. The supporters of Sportivo Barracas booed when Gimnasia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Quinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the game, Manuel Rico lined in a short shot 4-0 behind a frustrated Prospero Iratze. Manuel Rico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Sportivo Barracas's Nicolas Eguntsenti slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Prospero Iratze. That made the score 5-0 after 38 minutes of play. After having played for 41 minutes, Nicolas Eguntsenti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sportivo Barracas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Eguntsenti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Rico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Prospero Iratze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 46 minutes, Manuel Rico managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sportivo Barracas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Rico was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Rico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Prospero Iratze read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Urbano Quilino made a kick off. Gimnasia's Prospero Iratze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Eguntsenti in the 52nd minute of play. The Sportivo Barracas fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Sportivo Barracas's Manuel Rico looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Manuel Rico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Prospero Iratze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Manuel Rico's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Prospero Iratze was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Manuel Rico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute Manuel Rico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Iratze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prospero Iratze didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Rico went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. In the 72nd minute, Bernardo Harkaitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manuel Rico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Iratze having to interfere. Sportivo Barracas's Diego Eladio was substituted for Domingo Peru. Prospero Iratze didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Sportivo Barracas's Manuel Rico shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 8-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Sportivo Barracas's Apolo Guillen was substituted for Nicolas Eguntsenti. Gervasio Millano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Salomon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo Harkaitz charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernardo Harkaitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sportivo Barracas getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Bernardo Harkaitz hit a great ball. Manuel Rico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Prospero Iratze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Rico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sportivo Barracas's Manuel Rico in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gimnasia's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee ended the match the Sportivo Barracas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
