Claudio Banegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Iratze having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredo Telmo during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alfredo Telmo hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in ηαιмαιѕтєяѕ's zone, Urbano Quilino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvio Michael came out of the goal and Urbano Quilino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The ηαιмαιѕтєяѕ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silvio Michael should have stopped the shot. Alfredo Telmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Iratze having to interfere. If Claudio Banegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Urbano Quilino to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Quinto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Silvio Michael was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. ηαιмαιѕтєяѕ's Silvio Michael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Eufemio in the 57th minute of play. Mario Salomon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Michael having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Urbano Quilino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Silvio Michael was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Silvio Michael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Salomon in the 78th minute of play. After 79 minutes of play, Gimnasia's Urbano Quilino made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silvio Michael was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mario Salomon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Silvio Michael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvio Michael didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Urbano Quilino went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. If Mario Salomon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Urbano Quilino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 89th minute, Victor Eufemio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the ηαιмαιѕтєяѕ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gimnasia.
