Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ovando Castan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovando Castan in the 34th minute of play forced Japy Man's goalkeeper Christof Bruyneel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Domingos Leguizamón ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christof Bruyneel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When Ovando Castan came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Los Diablos Piquenses fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ovando Castan couldn't finish the play. Severiano Quinteros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Inge in the 45th minute of the match. The supporters of Los Diablos Piquenses booed when Japy Man was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Inge didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Darman Ardiansyah to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Ovando Castan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christof Bruyneel was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Christof Bruyneel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 86 minutes into the match, Japy Man's goal looked a bit too open when Ovando Castan came free, but Christof Bruyneel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Los Diablos Piquenses booed when Japy Man was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Marcones didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Japy Man's goalkeeper Christof Bruyneel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Jimeno Abajas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Christof Bruyneel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Los Diablos Piquenses's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
