Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Club Atlético River's Inocencio Fernandes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Pontevedra F.C. booed when Club Atlético River was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Boniel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Club Atlético River's goal looked a bit too open when Feliciano Montxo came free, but Alejandro Naelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alejandro Naelio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Feliu, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clodoveo Mikeldi in the 9th minute of play forced Club Atlético River's goalkeeper Alejandro Naelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alejandro Naelio came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Pontevedra F.C.'s Clodoveo Mikeldi. But to his dismay, Clodoveo Mikeldi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Vasco in the 20th minute of play forced Club Atlético River's goalkeeper Alejandro Naelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pontevedra F.C. were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Club Atlético River's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Feliciano Montxo took the corner. The corner led Pontevedra F.C.'s Genaro Argina to fire away a dangerous shot which Alejandro Naelio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Club Atlético River's goal looked a bit too open when Genaro Argina came free, but Alejandro Naelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Feliu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alejandro Naelio having to make a save. Clodoveo Mikeldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Clodoveo Mikeldi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alejandro Naelio was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Alejandro Naelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliciano Montxo in the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Clodoveo Mikeldi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pontevedra F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. A collision led to Pontevedra F.C. getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Astor Donostia hit a great ball. Feliciano Montxo took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alejandro Naelio. Alejandro Naelio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Clodoveo Mikeldi made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Pontevedra F.C.'s Clodoveo Mikeldi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alejandro Naelio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Genaro Argina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pontevedra F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Genaro Argina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alejandro Naelio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Ricardo Feliu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pontevedra F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Feliu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alejandro Naelio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alejandro Naelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliciano Montxo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Club Atlético River's Alejandro Naelio got control of the ball when Clodoveo Mikeldi tried to sneak it across the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clodoveo Mikeldi couldn't finish the play. Alejandro Naelio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clodoveo Mikeldi in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute, Marcelo Veremundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético River's goalkeeper Alejandro Naelio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Clodoveo Mikeldi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Alejandro Naelio made a huge save. In the 91st minute, Marcelo Veremundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a long run with the ball, Feliciano Montxo did a trick in the 92nd minute in front of Club Atlético River's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 0-9. An impressive performance by Pontevedra F.C.'s Feliciano Montxo! With a little luck, Club Atlético River's Alejandro Naelio got control of the ball when Ricardo Feliu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pontevedra F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
