When Marcelo Veremundo fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético River's protests and gave Marcelo Veremundo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th minute, one of Club Atlético River:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Atlético River. 44 minutes into the game, Fabricio Rocio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fulgencio Fernandez. Fabricio Rocio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1.
