Spectators: 7493 (Terracing: 5704, Seating: 1749, VIP seats: 40) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jedrzej Tomaka made the kick off which started today's match. Emiliano Daunte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Fulgencio Rioja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CUBANO's Edgard Mundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan-Sebastián Torres in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute, Jedrzej Tomaka made a precise shot to the right of Edgard Mundo. CUBANO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Edgard Mundo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan-Sebastián Torres in the 8th minute of the match. Edgard Mundo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jedrzej Tomaka's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. When Jedrzej Tomaka came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Velez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jedrzej Tomaka couldn't finish the play. In the 17th match minute, Velez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan-Sebastián Torres to maneuver through the defense. Fulgencio Rioja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Rutenio in the 18th minute of play. After 20 played minutes CUBANO got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Urdaspal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Arósio in the 22nd minute of play forced CUBANO's goalkeeper Edgard Mundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgard Mundo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jedrzej Tomaka's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute of the match Velez got a corner. CUBANO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Enrique Arósio ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Enrique Arósio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but CUBANO's Edgard Mundo did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jedrzej Tomaka in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgard Mundo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. CUBANO's Rene Maties suffered a sore thigh after 28 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Enrique Arósio's late challenge caught a CUBANO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enrique Arósio helped the player get up and apologised. CUBANO's Edgard Mundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan-Sebastián Torres in the 32nd minute of play. If Jedrzej Tomaka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgard Mundo came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Velez's Enrique Arósio. But to his dismay, Enrique Arósio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After some careless play in the CUBANO defense, Juan-Sebastián Torres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgard Mundo. The CUBANO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgard Mundo should have stopped the shot. In the 44th match minute, Velez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan-Sebastián Torres to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the game, Jedrzej Tomaka cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Edgard Mundo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Velez were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgard Rutenio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Juan-Sebastián Torres left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Velez fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Edgard Rutenio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fulgencio Rioja read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Edgard Mundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Arósio in the 59th minute of play. Edgard Mundo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jindřich Přecechtěl showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 60 minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Velez's Venancio Caton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgard Mundo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. In the 70th minute Jindřich Přecechtěl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Mundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CUBANO's Edgard Mundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan-Sebastián Torres in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, CUBANO's goalkeeper Edgard Mundo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrique Arósio. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by CUBANO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Enrique Arósio was slow to take the kick. During this time Velez's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Velez's Enrique Arósio to fire away a dangerous shot which Edgard Mundo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, CUBANO's goal looked a bit too open when Jindřich Přecechtěl came free, but Edgard Mundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgard Mundo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jedrzej Tomaka in the 82nd minute. Jedrzej Tomaka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, CUBANO's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Arósio came free, but Edgard Mundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Velez's Enrique Arósio in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CUBANO's goalie prevented a goal. In the 89th minute, Jedrzej Tomaka left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Velez fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. In the 92nd minute, Emiliano Daunte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute of the match, Juan-Sebastián Torres tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edgard Mundo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Edgard Mundo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Venancio Caton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th minute, Jorge Inge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Velez's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
