In the 20thth minute of the game Gustavo Heriberto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Penk Boys's Gogo Cresitobalo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Howie Devaud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicanor Laurin, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Marian Tăzlăuanu did an outstanding performance 48 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-1 to the right of an irritated Howie Devaud in the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 54th minute, Celso Osmundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Howie Devaud made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marian Tăzlăuanu in the 55th minute. With a little luck, Los Irrompibles's Howie Devaud got control of the ball when Laureano Gimenez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Howie Devaud successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
